A 36-year-old American citizen, Jaime “N”, was apprehended in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora on May 15, 2024. He was wanted for obstruction of justice and reckless driving in California. Mexican authorities apprehended him based on a request from California and turned him over to U.S. authorities for deportation.
This is an example of the successful cooperation between Mexican and U.S. law enforcement agencies in apprehending fugitives. It is important to note that this is just one example, and there are many other cases where Mexican and U.S. authorities have worked together to bring fugitives to justice.
The border south into Mexico is wide open and fugitives take advantage of it all the time. Because he didn’t have legal authority to be in the country, it was expeditious for immigration to get him out without the judicial extradition process.
My video created a long time ago reflects on some of the fugitives that live among us. They’re a pestilence.
