Fall Euphoria: From Indiana to Mexico

I have clear memories of a feeling of euphoria. This occurred when spring weather was peaking around winter. It was when I lived in the frozen north of Indiana. Bitter cold, snow up to the rafters. I left in 1976 and never went back.

In the summer, here in Puerto Penasco, (Rocky Point) Sonora Mexico, the temperatures average in the 90s. The humidity hovers at 80. It’s miserable and dangerous. Typically the weather breaks on October 20th, yeah that’s weird. Yesterday is was 73 degrees and 45 humidity when I got up. The AC was turned off for a few hours. The door was open for fresh air, tainted by the noxious fumes of the burning dump. I am still grateful.

Today was supposed to be my rest day. While drinking my coffee on the veranda, the temperature was 76 degrees with 45% humidity. By 08:30 I was out on my bike and soaking it up. Not only an endorphins rush from the ride, but also my dopamine kick.

Eight and a half miles will get kudos from my Stava friends. They are fellows much younger than myself. They have far more achievements than me. Still they are always kind with a thumbs up.

Today I used the GoPro 13 with Ultra wide lens which I find satisfactory. Here’s a memory for myself.

I was not satisfied with humble does of hormones and sought carbs because I’m addicted. Surprisingly none of my favorites were open so I elected to hit a new place across the street from me. There are new places opening and closing here all the time. For some reason Mirador just isn’t a good location, at least not like it used to be. Restaurants can last only 30 days, in this case I’m hoping Las Manas will be around for a while.

700 calories burned, 2000 consumed. Arizona Cardinals are winning. I am in a position to be grateful.
