I walked into 2026 thinking I found a way to distance myself from all things crazy. I removed network channels from my feeds, CBS, Fox, ABC, NBC etc. On YouTube, I figured out how to block offending channels of the aforementioned networks. I also blocked others like The Miedas Touch and MS Now. Each have an agenda to gaslight me into believing their narrative, conservative or liberal. I think I can reason for myself. Miedas Touch has teamed up with Michael Cohen to force feed their constant anti Trump YouTube channel. The enemy of my enemy is not my friend. God someone draw a line in the sand.
Yesterday Jack Smith was on trial in front of congress testifying about his actions in trying to bring Donald J. Trump to justice. In large part, he faced harsh criticism from Republican politicians which is why I say on trial. Many of them had once expressed their discomfort with Trump. Now, they think he’s a cool dude. The Dude. The Donald.
The law enforcement officers that tried to hold the line at the capital against “peaceful” protesters attended. These protesters tried to break in and assault members of congress and those protecting them. Michael Fanone and the other officers in attendance were insulted by Republican Ivan Raiklin which received a harsh and well deserved rebuttal from Fanone. I wish dueling was allowed. Click the link to see who Raiklin is. I volunteer to be Fanones second.
What was true 10 years ago is true now. Many people defend the actions of a despot. They think it serves some master plan for the greater good. I mean that has to be it right? No one would purposely lie for any other reason. Is it possible they actually believe what common sense, evidence and the courts has refuted?
After World War 1, the German economy was in terrible shape and the people were suffering with little hope. That is until a little man with a hateful heart and agenda came by and promised prosperity. It seems implausible that so many would embrace the politics of the NAZIs. I suppose if you’re hungry, you might do things against your nature. These actions can even go against the nature of humanity. In spite of that regimes collapse and millions dead, some still invoke Hitlers words and policies.

Hey, by the way. DId you see the Jared Kushner the Jew new plans for Gaza. It looks like a Utopian vision for anyone other than Palestinians. The money for this project will likely come in part from the Saudi contribution to Kushner’s hedge fund. This is quite odd.

I watched Robert Reich’s video discussing his despair at the condition of America. Yes he says even he, a 78 year old experienced former cabinet member is sometimes in despair.
You’re in good company Robert.
There was a recent movie that came out called Civil War. It was a modern take on a resistance force taking over the US government, even killing the president. As preposterous as this may seem, the story was created in someones head. Someone (s) is thinking about this. Has America come to this? It seems crazy to me. I grew up in a time of great patriotism albeit gradually with voices of decent. That’s a good thing.
I’m reading a book called How Civil Wars Start: And How to Stop Them written by Barbara F. Walter, no not Walters. There is a link that directs to her TED page and will include a video you find on YouTube. She discusses how data analysis suggests the US is ripe for civil war. The participants are not who you might think. White people. Interesting read and won’t take you long.
Presidents lie to us. The Vietnam War was a farce created by the Gulf of Tonkin incident. Germany invaded Poland over a false radio station attack. The Invasion of Iraq was started over false claims of weapons of mass destruction. If you had a child of age, you should be concerned about the propaganda. It is used to financially benefit individuals. The military-industrial complex was discussed by Eisenhower in his farewell address. This could include someone like Trump or Kushner.
Here’s a snapshot from my memory. When I was a young man in the military, we were all forced into the auditorium to watch a skit. The show was a man dressed in East German uniform stomping on the flag and a US soldier coming in and kicking his ass. I recall seeing the rage in the faces of so many young men and then the exaltation of the US stomping him. It’s just propaganda I thought. You don’t need to do this to get me. They made sure everyone went to church too, regardless of your beliefs or disbelief. Hearts and minds. Have a reason to die and kill other than the lies being told.
Which brings me to Senator Mark Kelly. By any definition, he is a hero. Yet, he is being pilloried for suggesting an unlawful order does not have to be followed. Really everyone knows that, they just don’t know what is is lawful. The last thing I want is for a lower enlisted person, whose brain hasn’t fully developed yet, start questioning whether the order to clean the latrine is lawful or not. Or to run headlong into a hot zone to rescue friends. Senator Kelly should not be attacked in the way he is. His unwise words were just political weapons against Trump. They will be used against him. It’s all a game.
We are all being gas lit and many don’t understand that. Even when the evidence is overwhelming we don’t want to admit we’ve been wrong. Bill Murray is attributed with saying, “It’s difficult to win an argument with a smart person. It’s damned near impossible to win against a fool.” So many fools.
I’m reading another book about NDEs, (Near Death Experiences). Something common in many of the experiences is the subject is taken to place described as a holding pattern. An entity provides an opportunity to review their life, good and bad. There doesn’t seem to be recrimination. Instead, it’s more of a review in terms of whether the subject met the goals of being on earth. Many concluded that words matter. Remarks made in anger or actions taken can adversely affect the receiver. The subject was able to experience the pain caused by the remark or action. To see and feel the effect. Hell I do that now at 03:00 am every day. Sometimes saying you’re sorry is enough, sometimes not..

A woman being shaved by civilians to publicly mark her as a collaborator, 1944.
It is my hope that we all get what we deserve, for better or worst. Sometimes it happens in our lifetime, maybe in another.
